Battlefield 6 Finally Accelerates Its Progress After Player Complaints

After numerous calls from players, DICE has announced that it is working on progression changes in Battlefield 6 to speed up the leveling process.

Although Battlefield 6 is considered a return to form for the series, there were some early problems. One of the most talked about elements is progression, as players feel that it takes far too long to gain XP, making it difficult to obtain new weapons, gadgets, and accessories.

Now the developers have finally responded, announcing major changes that should make climbing the ranks less of a chore.

They also speed up how quickly weapons progress through the first 20 ranks, “so you’ll start earning useful attachments almost twice as fast.”

Another major change is that the ranks required to unlock missions are reduced. This is another way to unlock new weapons, but previously unlocking them required a lot of work, as well as some challenges taking hours to complete.

In the future, “assignments that required career ranks 20, 23, and 26 to begin will now require career ranks 10, 15, and 20, respectively.”

The post also reveals that missions will be slightly easier in the future, but this will require testing before it can be deployed.

“Our goals here are to make the progression experience smoother and more rewarding while still maintaining that feeling of accomplishment when you reach a milestone like full weapon mastery,” the developers continued.

Prior to these changes, some players were using Community Portal servers to quickly earn XP. However, DICE is cracking down on XP farms because it makes it harder to fill regular servers.
