EA and Battlefield Studios have backtracked on a sweeping change Battlefield 6 made earlier this week, following community feedback.
This change, which saw initial spawn ticket numbers decrease across the board for the Conquest game mode, has been removed entirely. Additionally, the timer limit has been reset to its original value of 45 minutes.
Conquest, a must-have mode in the series, two teams compete for objectives on a large map. The attacking team must destroy the objectives in each sector before time runs out and their spawn tickets dry up.

This change was initially made in hopes of improving the gameplay experience of Conquest, which Battlefield Studios felt was hitting the time limit too often and dragging on a little too long for their liking. However, this change received a lot of negative feedback, with many Battlefield players enjoying the long-running team combat dynamic found in Conquest.
This quick adjustment is the latest in a series of quick adjustments to Battlefield 6. It comes with the death of “Ladder Launching”, the removal of various movement bugs, and fixes to weapon proliferation that disrupts the player’s aim. Meanwhile, Battlefield 6 exceeds seven million copies sold since its release.
If you haven’t played Battlefield 6 yet, why not read Eurogamer’s review to find out if it’s a game you’d like. In it, Rick Lane writes: “Ultimately, Battlefield 6 clearly understands what makes the series special, even if it sometimes seems reluctant to accept it.”
