WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Basketball legend and Wichita native Lynette Woodard hosted a free basketball clinic today for kids ages 6-14.
Woodard played basketball at Wichita North High and is in the hall of fame, and Saturday was the 50th anniversary of the Lynette Woodard Center.
Woodard said: “It’s great; I know their little hearts are like sponges. All they need to know is that they need to dream. They need to hear a good story that they can remember. They must remember that they can meet any challenge and overcome this group if they are determined and achieve this design. The three don’t stop them.
Woodard says she’s proud that every child learns basketball.
