Swifties are a powerful fan base.
Will Compton and Taylor Lewan of the ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast said Taylor Swift fans “infiltrated our cybersecurity system” after a video of their recent interview with Travis Kelce was leaked online before it aired Tuesday at midnight.
The Internet was abuzz when a 10-minute clip of Kelce gushing over the “Cruel Summer” singer — who he’s been dating since last summer — was posted by a Swift fan account on X.
“Absolutely no idea how this was leaked,” Compton, a former NFL linebacker, said in a response post on X, which included the leaked video. “We’re working to get the episode aired soon, but the Swifties have infiltrated our cybersecurity system.”
The fan account then replied: “Help I’m so sorry, it was just on YouTube for like 6 hours so I thought we got a present.”
Compton, who was a good sport about it, said, “Lol, this makes the version even better!”
According to the fan account, the latest installment of “Bussin’ With The Boys” featuring Kelce was released hours before it was deleted.
However, Lewan and Compton did not seem concerned about the incident.
“Maybe I should become a Swiftie with the support this podcast episode with Travis is getting,” Compton wrote in another post on X.
Kelce, who joined Swift on stage at her Eras Tour concert in London on Sunday, opened up about what life is like with the pop megastar.
“That was the craziest part, definitely getting to the house,” Kelce said, referring to the singer’s fans showing up at his Kansas City home.
“…His fans became Chiefs fans. I had fun with just about every aspect, it’s just that when you’re at home you want privacy and you don’t always get it.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has been open about the added attention that his high-profile relationship with Swift brings.
Last fall, Kelce added a $6 million property in Kansas City to his real estate portfolio, providing more privacy after numerous meetings with fans.
“She’s very self-aware, but at the same time… She understands situations like that and I think that’s why I really started to fall in love with her, that’s how much she’s genuine with her friends (and) family,” Kelce said. “It can get crazy for someone with that much attention and she keeps it so relaxed and so cool and that’s something I can definitely admire.
“…The first game she came to with the Bears (in September 2023), I was like I can prepare you everything and she came in. She was like I just want to be with my family and friends and experience this with everyone and I was like she got points for that. I felt like she was crazy and wanted to support me. She really won me over with this one.
