A man has died on the street in Adelaide after passers-by desperately tried to save him.
Emergency services rushed to Barrpowell Street in Welland, in the city’s west, around 1.30am on Wednesday after the man was found unconscious.
Witnesses tried to help the man but he died at the scene.
Major Crimes officers, crime scene investigators and Western District detectives remained on scene later Wednesday morning.
Barrpowell Street and Musgrave Avenue have been closed as investigations into the circumstances of the man’s death continue.
