The president of the National Rally Jordan Bardella confirmed on Saturday that he would present himself to the French presidential election of 2027 if her mentor Marine Le Pen – the triple candidate and the leading front whose ambitions were derailed by a conviction for embezzlement – is prohibited to participate.
“There is no ambiguity that Marine Le Pen is my candidate, but that if she was prevented (from running) tomorrow, I think I can tell you that I would be her candidate,” he told the Parisian French publication in an interview published on Saturday.
Bardella, the 29 -year -old president of the Patriots for Europe group in the European Parliament, has long been considered the apparent heir in the national rally but had not openly approved her rescue role in the presidential candidacy so far.
