Barbara Palvin revealed that she had recently undergone surgery for endometriosis.
The model and actress of Hungarian origin, married to the 33 -year -old actor, Dylan Sprouse, shared the update of personal health in an Instagram post on Sunday, August 17.
“Hi guys, it’s been a while!” Palvin, 31, started her message, before adding that she published in the hope that her experience could help others.

She continued: βIn recent years, I have been facing the difficulties that can come with my rules. Fatigue, intense pain, heavy and irregular flow, white nights on the bathroom floor. I thought that was how it worked for me. β
She added that she was “advised to search for an endometriosis specialist”.

βI go on the exams (with) my gynecologist every year. I thought that if I had endometriosis, I would have known it now, but it turns out that endometriosis cannot be diagnosed with general examinations, “she wrote.
Armani’s beauty ambassador said that she was finally going to a specialist and that she was operated on for the condition within three months. She said that she lived “finally” more comfortable periods.

Palvin ended his post by encouraging other women to see a specialist if they have similar symptoms.

She added: “(surgery) helped me a lot, and I am grateful to have done so. Early diagnosis and treatment are very important to prevent long -term complications, and now I am more attentive to my body to act quickly if necessary. β
“I am enthusiastic about this new chapter in my life and now ready to go back to work ππΌββοΈ,” she concluded.

Endometriosis is a condition in which the fabric develops outside the uterus, according to the Mayo clinic. The often painful disease can affect the ovaries, the fallow tubes and the fabric lining the pelvis. It can cause the formation of cysts and scar tissue in the body and can cause fertility problems. Often, one of the first symptoms of endometriosis is painful periods.
Endometriosis affects around 10% of women of reproductive age worldwide, according to the World Health Organization.
Palvin is one of the many celebrities that have shared their experience with endometriosis in recent years in attempts to raise awareness of the disease.
In February, Bindi Irwin shared that she had spent a decade in “dying pain” before receiving her diagnosis of endometriosis while appearing in an episode of the A life of magnitude podcast.
“It resulted in many canceled plans, people had to think that I was incredibly floconneous because I became so sick of this disease that I would try to get up and vomited, I suffered so much time. Each day, fatigue and battle,” said Bindi, 27.
“I went for 10 years not diagnosed because the doctors really didn’t know enough, they diagnosed me with a million other things, like the SCI or the hormones or:” It’s just part of the woman. “The symptoms have continued to make snowball, and it took me so long to find help and it is a story that so many women and girls know it too well,” she added.
The other celebrities who have shared their experience with the condition are Emma Roberts, 34, Chrissy Teigen, 39, and Amy Schumer, 44.
