Milwaukee (AP) William Contreras went 4 for 4 and hit a single twice in the eighth round while the Brewers of Milwaukee won 5-4 Monday evening to give the Baltimore Orioles their seventh consecutive defeat.
The Orioles have erased a three-point deficit, but have always fallen to 0-3 since the dismissal manager Brandon Hyde and gave the post to Tony Mansolino. Mansolino had worked as a hyde third base coach.
Baltimore equaled the match on the three -point circuit from Cedric Mullins off Nick Mears in seventh round. Mears had not granted a deserved race in 13 consecutive appearances before abandoning this circuit.
Milwaukee responded to the eighth.
Brice Turang drew a march with two withdrawals against Yennier Cano (0-4) and stole second. Contreras then struck a shot which exceeded the attempted dive of Gunnar Henderson and entered the central field to bring Turang home.
Contreras also chose in the first round, doubled in the third and fifth round, and walked in the sixth. His four sureties equaled a career summit.
Mullins pulled a walk in the ninth and stole second with a withdrawal, but Trevor Megill withdrew Adley Rutschman and Jackson Holliday on flies on the left to win his seventh stop in eight opportunities.
Ramón Laureano de Baltimore struck a solo shot and went 3 for 4.
Abner Uibe (2-0) by Milwaukee won the victory by working an eighth-round round.
With the 4-All equality score, the Orioles left the race in the third row in the seventh and could not capitalize on a two-in-one situation a single outing in the eighth. Jared Koenig withdrew Maverick Handley to finish the seventh. Uibe struck Ryan O’Hearn and Ramón Urías to shine the runners the first and the second in the eighth.
Contreras has known 9 out of 16 in its last five games, improving its average of the stick from .224 to .258.
The right-hander Logan Henderson (2-0, 2.45 ERA) will arise for the Brewers when this three-game series will continue on Tuesday. The left-hander Keegan Akin (0-0, 3.27) will serve as the orioles opener before the right-hander Chayce McDermott (0-0, 12:00) takes over.
