The Caribbean -inspired chain, Bahama Breeze, announced steep closures of more than a dozen restaurants – some of them in Florida, according to USA Today.
The point of sale reports that the owner of the Darden restaurants has closed these locations to focus more on its best efficient restaurants while strengthening the brand’s performance.
According to Gainesville Sun, one of these stores wore a panel reading: “This location is permanently closed. Please visit a sister’s location nearby ”, pushing potential customers to visit Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse.
Meanwhile, Naples Daily News announced that another location had been closed on Thursday after only 11 months of activity.
Ten other closures have been reported in other states, although the following five locations were closed in the state of Sunshine:
Gainesville – 3989 Plaza Blvd.
Naples – 2088 9th Street N.
Daytona Beach – 1786 W. International Speedway BLVD.
Sunrise – 2750 Mills of Sawgrass CIR.
Oakland Park – 3339 N. Federal Hwy.
