Clayton continued to share how much his dance meant for him after The baccalaureateexplaining that it helped him develop “self-confidence” and “self-esteem” even if he is not the most qualified.
“I am really grateful to have found something I work on myself every day and challenge myself,” he said. “I am not the biggest on this subject and I am aware of that, I am not delusional, but it is I against me every day that I arrive in this studio.”
“It is movement therapy,” he continued. “It allowed me to free up a lot from my anger and my frustrations.”
Clayton also explained how he hopes that his own dance trip will continue to inspire others to try new things.
“The dance has done so much for me and what is cool is that not only does it bring me self-love and self-confidence, but it inspired other people to get the courage to get out of their comfort zones and try something new,” he explained. “I know that I am not the next big dancer; I just do what is fun, but I have to defend myself, and that’s why I make this video.”
He added in his message to Gabby: “I don’t want people to be afraid of trying something new because online intimidation, like what you do, affects them in a way that stops them.”
