Azov presents its last Russian captives

The Azov Special Operations Regiment captured five Russian occupiers.

Source: Andrii Biletskyi, founder and first commander of the Azov regiment, on Telegram

Quotation: “Here are the last five prisoners captured by the Azov Special Operations Regiment. They include: a drug addict, an officer, an Ossetian, a ‘descendant of the Cossacks’ and a mobilized resident of the ‘DPR’ [the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic].

Note: These animals are alive, they have not been beaten or crippled. They will eat well, sleep well and be cared for by Ukrainian doctors while waiting to be exchanged.

This is the code of honor for every soldier, obligatory for every member of Azov: no matter what type of scum you are dealing with, you must always treat prisoners properly. We do not violate this code, even after the massacre of our fellow soldiers at Olenivka.

It’s because we are Azov, because we are warriors, not a pack of dogs like our enemy.”

Details: Biletskyi pointed out that apart from that, it also allows them to be exchanged for Ukrainian soldiers.

  • On the morning of July 29, Russian-aligned propaganda media reported the bombing of a prison camp in Olenivka, Donetsk Oblast, where Ukrainian prisoners were being held. Russian media said at least 53 Ukrainian prisoners of war had been killed in the shelling.

  • The Ukrainian Intelligence Directorate believes that the murder of Ukrainian prisoners in Olenivka, Donetsk Oblast, was organized by the Wagner group [a Russian private military company – ed.] on the personal instructions of Yevgeny Prigozhin, without coordination with the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

  • The Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Security Service and the Human Rights Ombudsman demand that the UN and the ICRC – which have acted as guarantors of the lives and health of Ukrainian fighters – send representatives to Olenivka.
