Authorities identify man found dead behind Framingham sandwich shop

Authorities on Tuesday released the identity of the victim of an apparent homicide, whose body was found behind a business in Framingham over the weekend.

Police found Anthony Junior Lopez, 30, behind Hot Table, the sandwich shop he worked at on Worcester Road, on Saturday around 10 p.m., according to statements released Tuesday and this weekend by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. Marian Ryan.

The Framingham resident’s cause of death remains under investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

“The victim presented obvious bodily trauma,” the prosecutor’s office said in its initial statement.

The District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police and the Framingham Police Department are investigating the case.
