Authorities are asking for the public’s help for an ID man who burned down the Lemon Grove rehab center

Authorities have asked for the public’s help in identifying a man they believe intentionally set fire to a drug treatment center in Lemon Grove last month.

A man can be seen on surveillance video stacking equipment and setting it alight near the lobby of the Kiva Learning Center for Women and Children at the McAlister Institute on Skyline Drive near Alton Drive shortly after noon on November 19, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Residents of the center saw the fire break out and were able to put it out before it caused serious damage.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477 or contact the agency online at sdcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a
reward of up to $1,000.
