Lucy Markovic, who played in the 2015 season of Australian’s next top model And continued to work for brands such as Versace, died. She was 27 years old.
The death of Markovic was confirmed on his Instagram page and by his agent Model Management. The model had fought against arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a rare brain condition.
“I regret informing you that Lucy has died,” said a statement on Instagram stories from Markovic. “She was at peace.”
Elite Model Management added: “We have a broken heart to share that Lucy Markovic died after a courageous battle with an AvM brain.
“Lucy was a brilliant and brilliant light, and had an incredible sense of humor. Her smile and laughter could light up a room and get closer to her. She liked to dance, she really shone. ”
Donatella Versace was one of those who paid tribute to Markovic. “I’m really sorry to hear about Lucy. Rest in peace, beautiful girl,” wrote the Italian fashion designer on Instagram.
The model Cartia Mallan said: “With a broken heart to say the least. My beautiful friend Lucy unfortunately died today after having waged a strong fight. I can’t even say how kind, radiant and attentive as a human. Not to mention the way she was incredibly beautiful and talented.”
Markovic spoke of his diagnosis with Avm, a tangle of blood vessels in the brain last month. The model said his AVM was “the size of a golf ball” and had led to his suffering crises.
Marvokic appeared in season 9 of Australian’s next top model At the age of only 17 years. She finished in second place behind Brittany Beattie.
