An Aurora Police detective injured while off duty in a motorcycle crash is recovering, police officials said.
Detective Jennifer Mills was injured Aug. 20 while riding a newly purchased motorcycle in Nebraska. She was treated there.
A medical evacuation flight then took her back to Centennial Airport in the south Denver metro area, Aurora Police officials said in a Tuesday post on X, the social media site previously called Twitter. Colorado-based Peak Medevac International provided transportation. Police officials said Mills was injured but was “recovering”.
We can’t thank @peakmedevac enough to get our officer home! π
