August Egg Company recalls shell eggs due to a possible health risk

August Egg Company of Hilmar, California SalmonellaAn organization that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, fragile people or the elderly, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with Salmonella Often fever, diarrhea (which can be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, an infection by Salmonella Can cause the body into the blood circulation and produce more serious diseases such as arterial infections (i.e. infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

The eggs were distributed from February 3, 2025 to May 15, 2025, with dates from March 4, 2025 to June 4, 2025, in California and Nevada. The eggs were distributed in retail locations, including Save Mart, Foodmaxx, Lucky, Smart & Final, Safeway, Raleys, Food 4 Less and Ralphs.

The eggs were also distributed from February 3, 2025 to May 6, 2025, with dates from March 4, 2025 to June 19, 2025 in Walmart in California, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nebraska, Indiana and Illinois.

The recalled eggs will have printed on the cardboard or wrap a P-6562 or CA5330 plant code number with Julian dates between 32 and 126. The recalled retail eggs will be in fiber or plastic boxes, with the above codes printed on one side of the box. (See following photo for Julian Date location.)

This reminder is associated with an investigation during an epidemic on Salmonella Entertitis diseases. The products were distributed to Az, Ca, il, in, ne, nm, nv, wa and wy.

August Egg Company does not sell fresh shell eggs at the moment. Our company voluntarily diverts eggs from a revolutionary plant for more than 30 days, which paste eggs and kills all potential pathogens of food origin.

Consumers who can have eggs produced in this plant, as identified by the plant code on one side of the egg card, should return it to their place of purchase for a full reimbursement. Other questions can be sent to the company at 1-800-710-2554, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
