Audi has given its new F1 car its on-track debut ahead of the team’s first official season in 2026, with the team holding a filming day at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit.
Following the team’s transition from Kick Sauber to the Audi factory team, preparations continue ahead of the new campaign and the R26 completed its first mileage at Montmelo on Friday.
Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto took the wheel, with the filming day marking the latest step in Audi’s progress towards the start of the season.
The team confirmed on January 7 that it had successfully completed the first start of its new challenger, while it was announced last month that the team – which will be known as the Audi Revolut F1 Team – would hold its official launch in Berlin on January 20.
The team will then present its full racing livery before holding a public opening the following day, allowing fans to experience this unique opportunity after unveiling an initial livery concept in November featuring Titanium, Carbon Black and Audi Red as the predominant colors.
Audi will join the 10 other teams lining up on the grid this year in a private pre-season test in Barcelona from January 26-30, before two separate tests take place in Bahrain from February 11-13 and February 18-20.
