Aubrey Plaza skips Golden Globes presentation after husband’s death

Place Aubrey didn’t join the ranks of many celebrities at the Golden Globes on Sunday night… avoiding the ceremony two days after her husband’s death.

Plenty of celebrities packed the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills for the 82nd annual ceremony… but Aubrey wasn’t among them — and it’s pretty clear why.

Plaza was originally supposed to present an award… although it’s unclear which or who replaced it.

We broke the story … police and firefighters responded to a Los Angeles area home at 10:30 a.m. Friday after a deputy discovered Baena dead.

The police considered it a suicide.

Baena was known for directing “Life After Beth” and “Horse Girl”… and he co-wrote the classic comedy “I Heart Hucakbees.”

Actress Molly Shannon paid tribute to Baena on Sunday… sharing a series of photos of them together captioned with a simple “💔” emoji.

Also note… Baena was mentioned at the Golden Globes – in tribute to the director of “The Brutalist” Brady Corbett mentioned it during one of his acceptance speeches.

Baena and Plaza tied the knot in 2021…and Aubrey detailed the low-key affair on an episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
