Aubrey O’Day Says 2020 ‘Big Photos’ Controversy Still Haunts Her

Aubrey O’Day looks back on a difficult chapter in his life.

In August 2020, The daily mail posted a series of photos of what the outlet described as O’Day’s “unrecognizable” walk with her dogs, leading some social media users to accuse the singer of heavily editing her posts Previous Instagrams to make them look slimmer. The shameful comments prompted O’Day to respond by posting a swimsuit selfie while holding a piece of paper with the time, date and the words “this is demeaning” written on it.

“It’s so crazy what ppl are going to do for clickbait!” she said at the time. “And that my attorney needed this photo to defend me against that. When is this industry going to stop abusing women’s bodies?”

Now, in an exclusive interview with E! News, O’Day reflected on how online critics called her “obese” and “fat” in photos.

“It was my drop day,” she recalls. “When it came time to laugh at me, everyone was laughing.”
