According to emergency services.
The Bryansk bridge shot down several heavy trucks on a moving passenger train as it collapsed, 31 people were also injured.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency said that the fire and rescue units were trying to find people who were traveling on the train.
In a statement published in Telegram, Moscow Railway alleged that the bridge had collapsed “following illegal interference in transport operations”.
“Unfortunately, there are seven deaths,” said local governor Alexander Bogomaz on Telegram, adding two people – including a child – are “seriously injured”.
All injured passengers were taken to medical establishments in the Bryansk region, he added.
The Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor’s Office said that an investigation was launched.
The authorities said that the train locomotive and several cars derailed when the road bridge fell late on Saturday evening.
Online photos have shown mutilated cars and passengers who help themselves get out of the wreck in the dark.
According to the Russian news agency TASS, the additional emergency workers, as well as the rescue equipment and the light towers to carry out work at night were sent to the region, according to the Russian news agency.
The train was evacuated and the passengers were guided to a meeting point in a neighboring station, said Moscow Railway, adding: “They will be able to continue their trip to a specially trained reserve train” traveling from Bryansk to Moscow.
The incident took place about 100 km (62 miles) from the Ukrainian border.
