At least 1 shot was fired at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse at the Stanford Mall in Palo Alto, police say; nobody hurt

PALO ALTO, Calif. — Officers are currently at the scene of a shooting that took place at the Stanford Mall in Palo Alto, the department announced at 5:15 p.m. Monday.

An unknown suspect in a vehicle fired at least one bullet into Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, police said. No one was hit or injured.

The police secured the scene. The 100 block of El Camino Real was closed in both directions. People are asked to avoid the area.

Officers suspect the shots came from a handgun in a moving vehicle. Any motive or intended target is unknown at this time.
