Houston Astros’ second goal player Mauricio Dubón was certainly concerned about death threats after a violent collision with San Diego Padres star Luis Arraez on Sunday.
“It was frightening,” said Dubón after a violent incident in Sunday’s defeat against the visiting padres. “I mean, just watch it doesn’t move. It was frightening. Especially people know the type of player I am. I’m not a dirty player or anything. So it sucks. The worst part is that you get death threats like this and everything. So it’s going to be a fun return home.
When asked if he had received death threats, a club spokesperson told Dailymail.com: “This is not something on which the Astros comment.”
Arraez collided with Dubón after abandoning a blow along the first base line at minute Made Park on Sunday. With the first Houston player, Christian Walker, amounts to the line to align the dribbler, Dubón was left to cover the bag, where he and Arraez crushed.
Dubón, a former winner of Gold Glove, seemed to walk in the wrong part of the base on the game, which may have led to the collision. Instead of putting his peak on the inner part of the bag, the 30 -year native of Honduras entered the center of the base at the exact time Arrier arrived.
He stayed on the ball to record the failure, but quickly realized that Arraz did not move in the aftermath of the collision. Dubón and the coach of the first Padres base, David Macias, rushed to check Arraez, who was sprawled by his side. The coaches quickly came to the field to tend to arrive in Arraez while the nervous manager Mike Shildt and the right defender Fernando Tatis Jr. looked helpless.

“Mauricio Dubón deserves a suspension for this extremely reckless game that Luis Arraez is carried out in a stretcher. There is no way that Dubón should have been on the other side of the first base after catching the ball. A play like that can end someone’s career.
“Mauricio Dubón never covered a base in his life F ***,” asked another.
Meanwhile, Dubón insists that he did nothing wrong.
“It was frightening,” said Dubón. “I mean, just watch it doesn’t move. It was frightening. Especially people know the type of player I am. I’m not a dirty player or anything. So it sucks.
The good news is that Arraez was not seriously injured.

“Dear fans and all those who were concerned about me”, the 28 -year -old Venezuelan star began her Instagram publication, which was written in English and Spanish.
“As you saw, I had to leave the match tonight on a stretcher after a collision during a game. I was taken to Houston’s Methodist hospital, where I underwent the necessary medical tests. Fortunately, there is nothing to fear. I am currently resting and I plan to join the team this Monday.
“I really appreciate all your prayers and friendly messages,” said Arraez. “I would like to thank the medical and paramedical staff of the Padres and Astros, as well as those who took care of me in the hospital. Most importantly, I thank God for his protection – I’m fine now.
Despite the optimistic message in Arraez, Shildt issued a few words of caution when he was addressed to journalists on Sunday evening.
“Obviously, very scary,” said Shildt. “We think he is mostly out of the woods. More time will tell us, but the initial tests are very favorable. No fracture of any kind. I mean, he obtained a little laceration on his jaw, so we worry about his jaw. We are worried about its cervical region. Everything was clear, stable during initial tests.
“We have already been burned during the tests, so we will be carefully optimistic,” he continued. “He had a period when he did not know when he was, so he is clearly worrying. Everything comes back to him now, and his initial tests from the concussion point of view were favorable, but clearly, we are not out of the woods. All well considered is a blessing.
