Aston Martin has announced that Lance Stroll will not participate in the Spanish Grand Prix, the Canadian ready to undergo medical procedure after experiencing pain in hand and wrist.
After participating in qualifications on the Barcelona -Catalunya circuit – a session which he finished in P14 – the team confirmed a few hours later that Stroll should miss the rest of the weekend.
A statement published by Aston Martin has read: “In the past six weeks, launched pain in his hand and his wrist, which, according to his medical consultant, is in relation to the procedure he suffered in 2023.
“Consequently, his medical team has confirmed that he would not run tomorrow and that he will undergo a procedure to rectify these problems before focusing on his recovery.”
A walk underwent fractures and a broken toe after a bicycle accident during the 2023 pre-season, which led him to undergo a surgery followed by a rehabilitation process. He then returned in time for the first race for the campaign.
