Ashlee Good: Haunting latest post on young mum stabbed to death in Westfield Bondi stabbing rampage – as her nine-month-old baby girl fights for life

A brave young mother who left her baby in the care of a stranger before she was fatally stabbed has posted a heartbreaking photo just hours before the devastating tragedy.

Osteopath Ashlee Good, 38, was among six innocent shoppers who were killed in the horrific random attack at Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney on Saturday.

A 40-year-old man went on a terrible stabbing rampage around 3:20 p.m. before being shot dead by a lone police officer.

A total of nine people, including Dr Good’s nine-month-old daughter, suffered knife wounds.

The infant is now fighting for his life after being rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.

Just hours before the horror happened, Dr Good posted a photo on Instagram with her baby in her arms.

“Only because I walked past and wore the same thing for 9 months versus 9 months, etc.,” the caption reads.

She also posted a short video of her daughter sitting in a car seat with the song My Girl by The Temptations overlaid.

Heartbreaking details have been revealed about what happened when Dr Good and her baby were attacked.

Just before 5pm, a witness interrupted a Nine News reporter’s live feed and pointed at his brother, saying: “He’s a hero, he saved the baby.”

The man, visibly shaken, said he used clothes from a store to try to stem the baby’s bleeding.

“The baby was stabbed and, yes, the mother was stabbed,” he said. “The mother came with the baby and threw it to me.

“I just helped by holding the baby…and trying to compress him.”

The two brothers stayed with the mother while waiting for help.

“(It was) very bad… there was a lot of blood on the floor… I hope the baby is okay,” the other brother said.

Police are present in large numbers at the scene and the Australian Federal Police are now liaising with New South Wales Police.

Another witness, a shopping center employee, remembers seeing a mother screaming on the upper floor.

“I see a mother and maybe her partner with a baby in a pram,” she told Nine News.

“She screams really loud. She runs back and forth not knowing what to do.

“Then she comes back to the pram and picks up her baby and there’s blood all over her back.”

“The scream was unforgettable, it was the scariest thing I had ever seen.

“My colleague took me, we locked all the doors, had to turn off all the lights and all the doors.”

Heartbreaking footage from the scene showed the baby being taken away in an ambulance.

Just 12 weeks after the birth of her baby girl, Dr Good posted a heartfelt message on social media about being a mother.

“It’s almost too hard to put into words,” she posted.

‘Love. Joy. Fears. The new World. The new me; one that I am still discovering as I enter the maternity ward and finish what we call the fourth trimester.

“It’s like your heart is swelling with love while facing anxiety for the first time.

“I feel so proud, then so overwhelmed. The dichotomy of it all.

“Pure joy and extraordinary exhaustion mixed with emotions you’ve never felt before.”

She went on to say that being a parent is “the greatest gift anyone can ever receive.”

She added: “Sitting here, so deeply grateful, and still pinching myself, she is ours.

‘I love him so much.’
