Delhi votes to elect an assembly of 70 members on Wednesday, February 5. More than 1.5 voters will decide the fate of 699 candidates who dispute the ballot boxes. Voting counting will be carried out on February 8.
The elections to the Delhi 2025 assembly attend a triangular competition among the ruling party Aam Aadmi (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) and the Congress. While the party of Arvind Kejriwal hopes to keep power, the BJP and the Congress bind to dethrone the AAP.
The Safran Party has remained out of power in Delhi since 1998. Congress, which was the dominant force in Delhi under Sheila Dikshit of 1998 and 2013, aims for a revival in the national capital.
While Delhi goes to the polls tomorrow, here are the main competitions you should monitor.
New Delhi
The head of the AAP and former chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, fights the constituency of New Delhi, whom he has won since 2013. He beat the CM of Delhi and the veteran the chief of the congress, Sheila Dikshit, of the Headquarters at the time.
Kejriwal put into bag the district of New Delhi by an advance of 21,697 votes in the elections of the Delhi 2020 assembly against Sunil Kumar Yadav of the BJP.
This time, the chief of the AAP faces Paroveh Verma of the BJP and the Sandeep Dikshit of the Congress in a three -way fight.
While Verma is the son of the former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma, Dikshit is the son of the ex-CM Sheila Dikshit.
Kejriwal bet on the regimes and governance of the government of the AAP government as it returns as Delhi CM. However, this time will be a difficult battle.
Kalkaji
The Delhi chief minister, ATISHI, is the AAP candidate for the siege of the Kalkaji assembly. It is a three -way competition because it is involved against Rameh Bidhuri of the BJP and the head of the Congress Alka Lamba.
Atishi had won Kalkaji during the surveys of the Delhi 2020 assembly by a margin of 11,393 votes against the candidate of the BJP Dharmabir Singh during his beginnings.

Lamba, the chief of the All India Mahila Congress, won the headquarters of the Chandani Chowk assembly in 2015 on an AAP ticket. She went to Congress in 2019.
Kalkaji will be a very watched race while the BJP aligned his ex-MP, Rameh Bidhuri, whose campaign has courted the controversy on the reprehensible remarks on Atishi.
Jangura
Jangpura will bring back an interesting fight because Manish Sisodia of AAP is against the Tarvinder Singh Marwah of the BJP and Farhad Suri of Congress.
The former assistant CM Sisodia moved to Jangpura this time from his headquarters Patparganj. The district of the Jangura Assembly was put into bags by Praveen Kumar of the AAP in 2020 and 2015.

Tarvinder Singh Marwah, who was the deputy of Jangpura from 1998 to 2013 for the Congress, joined the BJP in 2022. He lost the elections of 2020 and 2015 against Verma d’Aap.
Sisodia, who was one of the best leaders of the AAP arrested in the case of Delhi’s excise policy, will return as Delhi’s assistant CM if his party returns to power.
Shakur Basti
Former Delhi Minister of Health, Satyendar Jain, who spent 18 months in prison in a money laundering case, was sent by Shakur Basti’s AAP. The BJP opposed Karnail Singh, the chief of his Delhi Mandir Prakoshth (Temple Cell), against him. The Congress gave a ticket to satisfy Lute.
Jain won Shakur Basti’s riding for the last three elections. He came out victorious in the surveys of the Delhi 2020 assembly of the headquarters with a voting share of 51.60%. The BJP candidate, Dr. SC Vats, was a finalist.
Ballimaran
Ballimaran is another key district that will see a battle with high issues. The AAP gave a ticket to its assigned MP Imran Hussain from the headquarters. He beat Lata Sodhi from the BJP with a margin of 36,172 votes in the 2020 polls.
This time, Hussain is challenged by the candidate of the Congress Haroon Yusuf and the Kamal Bagri of the BJP. Ballimaran, who is part of the constituency of Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha, has a population with a Muslim predominance.
Yusuf, who won the seat of the Ballimaran assembly five times between 1993 and 2013, aims to tear the constituency from the AAP. He was minister in the government of Delhi led by Sheila Dikshit.
Great kalash
Delhi’s Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, a triple deputy AAP from Greater Kalash, arises to keep his seat for the fourth time. The headquarters of the GK Assembly is the district of New Delhi Lok Sabha.
Although there are speculations that the BJP could align Smriti Irani from the GK seat, he gave a ticket to Shikha Rai. In the 2020 polls, Bharadwaj had beaten Rai du BJP with a margin of 16,809 votes.
Garvit Singhvi is the candidate of the congress for the headquarters this time.
Other key battles
In Malviya NagarSomnath Bharti, an AAP deputy with three mandates, fights to win his headquarters again. He is challenged by satisfaction by BJP and Jitenra Kumar Kochar of Congress.
The seated deputy of the BJP, Vijender Gupta, is against the candidate Aap Pradeep Mittal of the Rohini Assembly seat. The Sumesh Gupta of the Congress is also in the race.
