Warner Bros. Discovery would have told an American court that he was ready to hand over Arthur Outings as part of a case of civil sexual assault against the Russell brand, according to The Times of London.
Brand and Warner Bros. were prosecuted in 2023 by an actress identified as Jane Doe, who said that Brand exposed himself on the set of Arthur. She also alleged that Brand followed her in a bathroom and attacked her while a member of the production team kept the door. Brand and Warner Bros., named defendants, deny the reprehensible acts.
During a New York Supreme Court hearing last week, Patrick Lamparello, Warner Bros. lawyer, proposed to disclose invisible images of the 2010 functionality Arthur. By TimeHe said that the company had “a few hours of video overtaking sequences … Four or five hours, it could be more, about eight”. Warner Bros. Discovery was approached for comments.
The hearing took place during the same week as the brand, 50, was charged by the British authorities of five rape and sexual assault leaders. He was summoned to the Westminster magistrate court on May 2. Brand said last week that he had “never had a non -consensual activity”.
At the hearing of the Supreme Court of New York, Brand lawyers sought to delay the civil affair, suggesting that it could ride criminal procedures in the United Kingdom. The judge rejected the request.
Brand’s lawyer, Mark Cuccaro, added that the former actor and actor feared that he was able to deal with criminal procedures in the United States, although the Los Angeles police service has not had an open investigation. Cuccaro said Brand had “a reasonable belief that criminal prosecution is possible in the United States on the basis of allegations that have been infiltrated in the United States, of which he was falsely accused by this civil claimant and in several others across the media.”
In an interview The Sunday Times In 2023, the brand Arthur The accuser said: “I felt used and mistreated. The disgusting is the only word. I felt like I was used, that I was just an object for its momentary titillation.” She added: “Everyone will generally make their eyes on bad behavior on a set. If I had manifested myself and I said something, say, even a production assistant on the set, what are they going to do? Will they dismiss the Russell brand, or are they going to shoot me?”
