Arsenal player Frida Maanum was stretchered off after appearing to collapse following the ball against Chelsea.

The 24-year-old started for the Gunners in the Conti Cup final, which was being played at Wolves’ home ground at Molineux, and the match was abruptly abandoned in stoppage time.

His Arsenal teammate Katie McCabe immediately called for medical attention, with Maanum taken away on a stretcher in worrying scenes.

It’s unclear exactly what the nature of Maanum’s problem is, with broadcasters not going into detail about it. However, she has already received messages wishing her good luck.

“Thoughts with Frida Maanum. Really, I hope you’re okay,” Casey Stoney said on X.
