Arsenal are off to a strong start in the Champions League quarter-final against Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich – as they look to reach the semi-finals with the encouragement of their WAGs.

Arsenal made a comfortable start to their Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich in Germany.

Gabriel Martinelli curled a first-time shot wide and Bukayo Saka had a decent influence as Arsenal look to force themselves into the game.

Arsenal are looking to reach their first Champions League semi-final since 2009.

The London club traveled to Germany in search of the golden ticket after drawing 2-2 in the first leg last week at the Emirates.

The Arsenal stars were accompanied by their wives and girlfriends on the trip. Leandro Trossard’s wife Laura shared a photo of herself, Kai Havertz’s fiancée Sophia Weber, Martin Odegaard’s partner Helen Spilling and Ben White’s wife Milly dressed in their Arsenal kits before the match.

They were greeted by a thrilling atmosphere in Munich, with flares, flags and drums fueling imposing energy from the home fans.

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard have been named in the starting line-up, which is good news for Arsenal fans.

The star pair had potential injury doubts after Saka limped off during the 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa while Odegaard had to come off.

Takehiro Tomiyasu was also named left-back ahead of Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Jorginho returns to midfield after being benched for Sunday’s game while Gabriel Martinelli is on the left wing.

If Arsenal beat Bayern in Germany tonight, they will reach the last four of Europe’s elite competition for the first time since 2008/09.

They have made huge progress under manager Mikel Arteta, who played for the club.

They finished second in the Premier League last season and are currently placed there this campaign.

The club has never won the Champions League and if Arteta led them to such glory he would be immortalized.

Bayern Munich fans brought a thrilling atmosphere to the Allianz Arena, which has seen much glory over the years.

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is looking to reach the semi-finals with a third team, having already done so with Paris St-Germain and Chelsea.

The only manager to do this with more than three teams is José Mourinho with Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
