“Heavy rain is affecting the Southern, Gatwick Express and Thameslink networks, particularly south of London and towards the south coast,” a statement said.

“Strong winds are also expected.

“This weather is likely to disrupt travel until midday today, April 28. Please consult travel planners before traveling.

This could also affect Brighton and Bournemouth supporters, with the match at the Vitality Stadium also scheduled to kick off at 2:00 p.m.

At the time of writing, all trains appear to be running on time.

The Met Office has not yet issued a weather warning.

However, it’s one to watch for fans heading to football today, with earlier starts perhaps a wise move.
