Armie Hammer’s ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers has said her divorce from the troubled Hollywood actor was “absolute hell”, adding that she wouldn’t “wish it on anyone”.

While starring in the new Freeform documentary series “Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise,” Chambers said she was a victim of the so-called “Cayman Curse,” which sees couples break up shortly after having moved to Grand Cayman together.

“I went through a very public divorce,” she said of her split from the “Call Me By Your Name” actor. “It was riddled with scandal, and stories were coming out every day, horrible articles, and I was learning about them as they went along.”

“The life we ​​had planned for years was shattered,” said Chambers, who shares two children with the actor. “It was a really painful time. Doing this on a more public platform was absolute hell, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

The Food Network host said she’s finally ready for a “fresh start” following the “trauma” she had to overcome.

“I experienced it. I know that. I know the truth. So at the end of the day, unless you’re there, you don’t know,” Chambers said, declining to discuss it further.

She and the “Mine” actor finalized their divorce in June 2023.

That month, the actor submitted his final disclosure statement, meaning the former couple was preparing to settle down.

Sources told Page Six that Hammer and the Bird Bakery founder have already closed the door on their marriage.

Chambers filed for dissolution in July 2020 after 10 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the split.

The following year, several women accused Hammer of sexual misconduct, including cannibal fetishes and BDSM fantasies.

A woman, who identified herself only as Effie, anonymously shared shocking allegations about the “Death on the Nile” star on her Instagram account, House of Effie, at the time.

The messages included graphic messages allegedly sent by Hammer that centered around numerous sexual references to cannibalistic acts and “bloodsucking.”

Effie also claimed that Hammer raped her, after which the Los Angeles Police Department opened an investigation.

Authorities announced last year that Hammer would not face charges. He vehemently denied the allegations.
