A popular boutique is expanding its presence and is one of the largest shopping centers in the Chicago area.
Canadian fashion retailer Aritizia will soon move into a larger space at Oakbrook Center Mall in suburban Oak Brook, according to a release.
On Thursday, the “everyday luxury” retailer, a tenant of the shopping center for more than 10 years, moved into a space of more than 14,000 square feet. That’s more than double the size of its original spot, the announcement continues.
In addition to 19 fitting rooms, the newly expanded boutique will feel a little more luxurious, the listing says, with details such as “hand-painted murals, specially selected furniture and an Italian marble wall “.
Late last year, the Westfield Old Orchard store also moved into an expanded space.
The expanded store is one of the latest additions to the mall, which in December saw the site of the former Sears store transformed into Sony Motion Pictures’ first-ever immersive entertainment destination.
It also follows a series of recent updates at other suburban malls, including new stores at Woodfield, Westfield Old Orchard and Yorktown Center.
Meanwhile, other suburban malls, including Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee and Stratford Square Mall in Bloomingdale, are closing.
