The Congress Library has kept recordings of Corp Marine Combat correspondents sent on the ground during the Iwo Jima battles 80 years ago. The correspondents have recorded everything, “choral rituals and music in the Pacific Islands” to the interviews with soldiers and the sounds of the battle.
