Archer Aviation Actions (ACHR), based in the United States, climbed more than 2% after the company announced an air partnership in New York with United Airlines (UAL). Thanks to this partnership, the company aims to help New Yorkers bypass airport traffic by offering journeys in electric taxi, reducing journey time up to two hours to only 5-15 minutes.
Archer Aviation, a major player in the electric vertical takeoff and landing space (EVTOL), has made waves in the emerging urban mobility sector.
Flying taxis in New York?
As part of the last agreement, Archer Aviation plans to connect Manhattan with neighboring airports using his electric vertical takeoff and landing plane (EVTOL), at midnight. This four-passenger vehicle is designed to reduce training journeys from one to two hours to only 5-15 minutes. Operating from Manhattan helpers, the service will shuttle customers to the main airports like JFK, Laguardia, Newark and other smaller regional airports.
Archer’s goal is to considerably reduce long and congestioned walks to New York airports, offering a faster and more efficient alternative. The company expressed its optimism as to what it obtains the certifications required by 2026, and it would provide an update on flights managed during its next call for results. Archer will publish his report on the results of the first quarter of 2025 on May 8.
Meanwhile, United Airlines will work closely with Archer Aviation to help create infrastructure necessary to provide advanced air mobility to its customers.
Before take -off certifications
Archer’s air taxi ambitions are currently dependent on certification approvals. Midnight’s flagship plane of the company is still awaiting certification of US Aviation Regulator. For the context, the typical certification guarantees that a plane meets the design and security standards of the Federal Aviation Administration. Once ACHER has received this certification, he will be able to start testing his planned routes.
In addition, the company must bring a pilot into one of its planes for a test flight. Until now, the company has only made autonomous flights without humans on board.
Is Archer Aviation a good purchase?
Overall, analysts have a high purchase consensus rating on ACHR shares on the basis of six purchases, a catch and zero that are sold in the last three months. The average objective of the Action Aviation Aviation share of $ 12.83 implies an increase of increase of 77.5%.
