Apple is the new exclusive broadcast partner of Formula 1® in the United States

A more dynamic and enhanced viewing experience is coming to Apple TV next year

Apple and Formula 1® today announced a five-year partnership that will bring all F1 races exclusively to Apple TV in the United States starting next year.

This partnership builds on Apple’s deepening relationship with Formula 1 following the global success of Apple Original Films’ adrenaline-packed blockbuster. F1 The Moviethe highest-grossing sports film of all time. United by a commitment to innovation and fan experience, the partnership paves the way for the continued growth of Formula 1 in the United States.

Apple TV will provide comprehensive coverage of Formula 1, with all practice, qualifying, sprint sessions and Grands Prix available to Apple TV subscribers. Select races and all practice sessions will also be available for free in the Apple TV app throughout the season. In addition to streaming Formula 1 on Apple TV, Apple will amplify the sport on Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music and Apple Fitness+. Apple Sports – the free iPhone app – will feature live updates for every qualifying, sprint and race for every Grand Prix of the season, with real-time leaderboards, driver and manufacturer rankings for the season, live activity to follow on the lock screen and a designated widget for the iPhone home screen.

F1 TV Premium, F1’s premium content offering, will continue to be available in the US through an Apple TV subscription only and will be free for those who subscribe.

Additional information, including production details, product enhancements and all the ways fans will be able to enjoy F1 content across Apple products and services, will be announced in the coming months.

Continuing to captivate fans and critics around the world, F1 The Movie will make its global streaming debut on Apple TV on Friday, December 12, 2025. Since its wide theatrical release this summer, F1 The Movie broke records, debuting at No. 1 and crossing $629 million at the worldwide box office. In addition to being the highest-grossing sports film, F1 The Movie is this year’s highest-grossing original feature film, and the largest opening for a live-action original film in the United States in the last five years, as well as Brad Pitt’s highest-grossing feature film to date. The film boasts an “A” CinemaScore, as well as a 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, and continues to be widely acclaimed as the most authentic racing feature film ever made.

Originally from Apple Studios, F1 The Movie is directed and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman.

F1 is one of the fastest growing leagues in the world, with a US fan base reaching 52 million in 2024. The 2025 Global F1 Fan Survey, conducted with Motorsport Network, found that 47% of new US Formula 1 fans, who have been following the sport for five years or less, are aged 18 to 24 and more than half are female.

Apple TV offers subscribers a rich offering of thrilling dramas, epic sci-fi, heartwarming comedies, groundbreaking documentaries, kids and family entertainment, and live sports.
