Apple is bringing back the iPhone 14 Pro for the first time, at a much lower price

Apple has a clear policy for its iPhone Pro models: they’re on sale for a year, then removed when the next Pro arrives. Regular iPhones stay in the mix longer and you can still buy the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 alongside the latest iPhone 15. Now, in a rare move, Apple has suddenly brought back the iPhone 14 Pro and the ‘iPhone 14 Pro Max in its refurbished store.

So why would you do that? The obvious answer is that it saves a lot of money. Refurbished iPhones sold by Apple offer the same one-year warranty as new models. Apple also promises that they contain a brand new battery, so you can be sure that it will have a lifetime ahead of it, as well as a new outer shell.

If you believe that the iPhone 14 Pro is sufficiently advanced and the benefits introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are not necessary, then appreciable savings can be made.

For example, the iPhone 15 Pro Max costs $1,199 and up, but the iPhone 14 Pro Max started at $999. And the refurbished models, all of which are unlocked to work with any network, start from $849 for the Space Black model with 128GB of storage, a savings of $150 off the original price and well less than a brand new iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Savings increase with storage, so the 256GB model, in Space Black or Silver finish, are both available refurbished for $929, which is $170 less than the $1,099 you would have paid for the ‘buy new. And you can save $200 on the model with 512GB of storage, where Space Black, Purple, Silver, and Gold colors are all available in refurbished condition for $1,099.

The iPhone 14 Pro is also discounted and available in seven variants. If you want 128GB of storage, you can pay $759, which is $140 off the $899 the phone originally cost new. This is available in Space Black only. With 256 GB of storage, you have the choice between Space Black and Silver. These cost $849, which is $150 less than the original price of $999.

The same two colors are available for the 512GB storage models, i.e. Space Black and Silver, for $1,019, which is $180 less than the original purchase price of $1,199. And if you really must have the highest storage capacity available, 1TB, then you can choose between Space Black and Silver for $1,189, a savings of $210 off the list price of $1,399.
