Tim Cook won’t steer Apple’s ship forever.
Cook, who succeeded Apple founder Steve Jobs, helped Apple cross the $3 trillion market cap mark – and could push the company beyond $4 trillion by 2025 .
However, the 63-year-old CEO is also thinking about who will succeed him. In October, Cook told singer Dua Lipa on her “At Your Service” podcast that he hoped his successor “would come from Apple.”
And according to “several people familiar with Apple’s inner workings” who spoke to Bloomberg, that’s a very likely scenario.
According to the Bloomberg report, Cook won’t leave for at least three years, but company executives are considering several potential CEOs.
Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
