Earlier today, we reported on a leaker’s claim that new iPhone SE and iPad 11 would be released alongside iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3. But a few minutes later, BloombergMark Gurman of Mark Gurman blew the whistle on this rumor.
In a follow-up social media post, Gurman said an iPhone SE replacement and new iPads are “in development on the iOS 18.3 train,” but that “does not mean” that updates Software updates and devices will be launched simultaneously. Instead, Gurman said Apple aims to have the devices available “by April,” at some point “before the release of iOS 18.4.”
So there you go. Sometimes one rumor quickly leads to another, and we now have a clearer timeline for when these devices will launch.
