Anti-Israel protesters arrested during clashes with police in Brooklyn

Anti-Israel protesters clashed with New York Police officers during a noisy demonstration in Brooklyn on Saturday, leading to at least a dozen arrests.

Video shows some of the angry crowd, some 250 strong, pushing back as police tried to move them to the Bay Ridge sidewalk.

Cops eventually attacked and arrested several protesters, the video shows.

The police could be seen taking the protesters away as they fought back and shouted at the officers. A protester threw a bottle of water at them.

A man was pinned against a van by police and handcuffed as people shouted at police to “let him go”.

A line of handcuffed protesters, one of whom was draped in a Palestinian flag, was filmed being loaded into the back of a police vehicle.

“We love you!” » a friend shouted to one of them from the other side of the police line.

The Post observed that at least 12 people were arrested. Police did not immediately have an official number of arrests.

The entire neighborhood was covered by a massive police presence.

“The NYPD has spent over 400 million on protests in Palestine alone,” protesters chanted in a call and response.

“They told us to stop. But we will not rest. Until this city divests. Liberate free Palestine,” they said.

A woman atop a U Haul truck shouted, “Don’t talk to the pigs, they don’t deserve our attention” to loud applause.

“Biden is the oldest president we have ever had. And he will die soon,” she added to further cheers.
