Anna Paquin walks red carpet with cane after health issues

Anna Paquin walked the red carpet with a cane on Wednesday while suffering from undisclosed health issues.

The “Piano” star seemed in good spirits as she posed for photos at the New York premiere of her new film, “A Bit of Light.”

Paquin, 41, held the black cane in her right hand, standing alone and alongside her husband, Stephen Moyer, who directed the film.

The Oscar winner wore a long-sleeved black mini dress with a mock turtleneck and pointed shoulder pads. She pulled her hair back into a sleek bun and accessorized the look with black tights and heels.

Although Paquin didn’t share the cause of her health issues, she told People at the event that the last two years have been “tough.”

“It hasn’t been easy,” she said.

Paquin also looked forward to working with Moyer, 54, and having him as a support system.

“He’s my favorite person to play with,” she said. “I’m not sentimental when it comes to work.”

The “True Blood” alum hasn’t walked the red carpet since October 2022 at the Raindance Film Festival. She also posed for photos with Moyer, but notably did not use a cane.

The couple married in 2010 and share 11-year-old twins: daughter Poppy and son Charlie.

A representative for Paquin did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
