Anaheim – The Angels gave another overview of how they will keep Mike Trout on the ground as much as possible this season by operating the triple MVP from the designated shot site for a second consecutive match on Sunday.
One one with a preference for DH, trout seems eager to embrace the role this season.
“Of course,” said Trout. “Instead of having a day off, you are still in the game, always committed. It was fun.”
Trout played 1,527 career games, but only 83 of them were in DH, including Sunday. The last time he was the DH in consecutive matches was a series of four consecutive competitions from April 15 to 18, 2019, when he was in the process of coming from an injury to the groin.
The move to DH was not a problem on Friday, the trout struck a home run for the third consecutive match while scoring two points. He now has nine home circuits in his career outside DH.
Regular days of leave will also be used to keep the trout cool, although manager Ron Washington has mainly used consecutive DH days as the equivalent of a complete game in the right field followed by a day of leave.
“It was a consideration, but Mike did not have it,” said Washington about a potential day for trout during the weekend. “So that’s it.”
To make it work, Jorge Soler had to play consecutive matches in the right field, but it was not a problem since the addition of the stir of the angels asked for it.
“Soler wanted to play the outdoor field, and we try to keep Mike Fort. That’s it,” said Washington. “So when we come back to the road, Mike will return to the right field.”
The angels will have a day off on Monday before opening a three -game road series against the Rays of Tampa Bay. Because Rays are not playing Tropicana Field this season due to the roof damaged by the hurricane hurricane, the return of trout to the outside field will take place on the most indulgent grass field of George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, as opposed to an artificial area.

The right-hander Michael Darrell-Chicks was called for the first time in the major leagues, taking the place of the right-hander Caden Dana, which was optional at Triple-A Salt Lake.
To make room on the list of 40 men for DARRELL-CHICS, the right-hander Hans Crouse was released.
Hicks was signed as a free agent not written in July 2022 and managed to head to the major leagues after only 2 1/2 seasons in minor leagues. His breakthrough occurred last season when he had 6-4 with an MPM of 1.73 in 30 Double-A Rocket City rescue outings.
“It means everything,” said Darrell-Chicks about the call. “I have been working for countless years and I think I have overcome a lot.”
The 27 -year -old spent six years at university, obtaining a master’s degree in sports management while attending Western Kentucky, before transferring to Jacksonville. During a three -year section, he only launched 10 rounds due to Tommy John surgery and the 2020 canceled season due to the pandemic.
“It was really difficult for me mentally,” said Darrell-Chicks. “I got my diploma, and I did not know if I wanted to continue playing. … But the strong support system I had, they said to themselves:” You should continue, and if you continue, good things will happen for you. And of course, I mean, wow.
Darrell-Chicks’ stay could be short-lived with the right-hander Ryan Johnson near returning from the paternity list.
Hello, Goodbye
After only three games at home, the Angels will be back on the road this week for a trip on the road to three massive cities with three cities in Tampa, Houston and Texas. By counting their opening trip of the season to Chicago and St. Louis, the Angels will play 15 of their first 18 games on the road.
If it seems excessive, it is only because it is. The angels should equalize the Cubs of Chicago of 1957 for most matches on the road during the first 18 dates of a major league calendar.
The angels went 4-2 on the road this season after finishing 31-50 last season.
The next
