Angel Reese does not let go of Caitlin Clark drama in progress in which it is involved.
On Tuesday, the Sky star republished a Tiktok video containing a screenshot of an X post laughed at Clark as “white gyal that escaped from the fade”, a reference to their hubhate during the opening defeat of the Chicago season against Clark fever on Saturday.
The Indiana guard was struck by a blatant fault for having pushed Reese – which had a few moments had pushed the Natasha Howard fever while positioning itself for a rebound.
The incident between the former collegial rivals remained in the headlines while the WNBA investigates alleged racist comments directed to Reese during the match at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
“The WNBA firmly condemns racism, hatred and discrimination in all forms – they do not have their place in our league or in society,” the league said in a statement on Sunday. “We are aware of the allegations and examine the question.”
On Monday, Reese shared a Tiktok video in which a user said he could no longer be classified as a “rivalry” between Reese and Clark.
“The situation to be accomplished is that when Angel Reese enters the fever of Indiana, it is no longer safe. It is not safe, because there are fans of Indiana fever who are racist, who will treat it as if it was not a human being, who will perform in insults and threatens her way, and it is not ok.
“You all knew that it was going to happen. You all knew that the environment was not sure for Angel.”
Reese, the former LSU star, spoke on Tuesday on treatment with the incident league at this point.
Caitlin Clark as a “frightened white gyal”.
“There is no room in the League for that. I think the WNBA and our team and our organization (have) done an excellent job to support me,” she told journalists. “By going through this whole process, it could happen to me, it could happen to anyone and I think they did an excellent job by supporting us.”
“They understand that it is the priority,” she added. “There is no room for that. … Obviously, the women of this league, they know it and know that there is no space for that. I believe that each player in this league deserves to be treated with respect and wants to come to work and have fun and have an excellent environment to work.
Reese’s comments echoed those made by Clark one day earlier.
“There is no room for that in our game, there is no room for that in society,” she told journalists. “We want each person who enters our arena, that the player, if a fan, has great experience. I appreciate that the league will do it. I appreciate that the organization of fever has been at the forefront since the first day and what it does.
“With the investigation, we will leave them something to find anything and take the appropriate measures if this is the case.”
