Angel Postcoglou targets fire to Tottenham’s Board: frustrated spurs boss bemoans hierarchy silence and calls for support for club legends in the comparison of Liverpool

Angel Postcoglou smoking Var, even admitting that it made him fall in love with football, but that was not all. He also left vapor on a whole range of other questions, while he was attacked in the mood of dissatisfaction breaking inside the Tottenham family.

Postcoglou called on Spurs to be “more vocal”, which was a specific reference to the silence of the conference room and their former players on the exhibition circuit, compared to the Army of Pom-Pom Girls of Liverpool.

“The only voice you hear is me,” he said. “When we talk about the biggest clubs, there seem to be many more votes. And not always defend. You also need a meticulous examination and constructive criticism. We are certainly tired of that, but we never get other things.

“It seems that Tottenham wherever there is a wound, there is a real battery to stick a finger in this wound, then we accept our fate.”

Postcoglou is upset that the surveys of the 1-0 defeat of Thursday in Chelsea – a 16th defeat in the Premier League this season – focused on his exchange with the fans of the Spurs rather than on a Var of six minutes which ends in a decision to exclude what would have been a Pape Matar Sarr equalizer.

“I would have thought it would be the story, but that is not the case,” said the 59 -year -old Australian.

Angel Postcoglou called the owners and experts of the Spurs who support them to be more vocal

Postcoglou insisted that he was the only voice ” that people hear, apparently leaving what the club president, Daniel Levy, did not do enough to galvanize Tottenham fans

Tottenham has endured his worst season of recent history, while they sit at 14th in the table

“I fall in love with the game because I loved celebrating the goals. (Thursday) I did it, and I pay a huge price for that. I’m going to make sure I don’t start again, but I think it’s a little sad.

“In the time I am here, we had two decisions that disappeared against Liverpool and there was a national campaign, almost.

He joked the fact of overcoming the predecessors and suggested, like some of them, that the reasons of the struggles without Tottenham trophy are deeper than the identity of the man who picks the team.

“I just don’t think it’s the managers themselves,” said Postcoglou. “I almost lasted two years, it’s pretty good for Tottenham. At one point, the club must stick to something.

“If I say it now, it seems selfish and beats the goal, so maybe not now … But if you want to change the course of your events, you have to change many things in terms of perspective as a club.”

Postcoglou defended his work last year, finishing fifth after sold Harry Kane and transformed the football style, while the acceptance of this season had not been up to the task.

“If you are five years old in a club and maybe one or two disappointing years but three really strong years, you would say:” I’m going to take it “,” he said.

“Here, it seems that, well, you have a happy new year and a poor year and that’s it. Let’s go to the next.

Postcoglou explained that other clubs have experts who support and criticize them, if necessary, but that the former Spurs players seem to do the latter

PostCoglou is the oldest manager in Tottenham from Mauricio Pocsettino

Regarding employment safety, he said: “There is life after that for everyone, including Tottenham and inclusion.

Nuno Espirito Santo, dismissed after four months as spurs, is third in the Premier League. Jose Mourinho arrived after winning the lot, was dismissed after 17 months, six days before a final of the League Cup, and won the conference league with Roma.

Mourinho is now in Fenerbahce Grappling – literally sometimes – with Galatasaray for the Turkish title. Antonio Conte, who won League titles at Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan, and now Napoli second in Serie A, lasted 16 months in Tottenham, who left a short time after a fellow attack on club culture after a draw in Southampton.

Conte marked the players “selfish” and said: “If they want to continue in this way, they can change the manager, many managers, but the situation cannot change. Believe me. ‘

His words persist. They could as well be printed on the canoe.

Postcoglou promised to fight, admitting that he knew the scale of the challenge when he went out on Celtic for work in 2023. His team, 14th in the league, will face the Rock-Fond de Southampton tomorrow before the first stage of a quarter-final of the Europa League against Eintracht Francfurt on Thursday.

He knows that winning the first Tottenham trophy for 17 years is probably the only way to appease agitated fans. “Let’s see if we can deliver this and see what’s going on,” he said.
