What do we call the moment worthy of Andrew Kiu on Love is blind? Tear-Gate? Eyedrops Gate? Andrew Gate? In Season 3, which has premiered four episodes so far, Kiu was caught applying drops to mimic crying as he ponders his rejected proposal.
Many viewers claimed that the last two seasons of the Netflix reality series are no match for the chaos from the first season, citing the unpredictable nature of Giannina Gibelli and Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed totally ups and downs without cringe. Now, Kiu reminded everyone of the good ol’ days with his big “WTF” moment that was pretty innocuous (unlike Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee’s shameful tirades in Season 2).
Per Us Weekly, the 35-year-old wildlife photographer weighed in on the viral moment on his Instagram Story. He shared Netflix’s clip of the scene, which they captioned, “Hmm…we were definitely *not* blind at the time.”
Kiu wrote, “I could have at least removed the button, guys.” He is not the only one Love is blind competitor offering his commentary. Alumni Jarette Jones and Chatterjee also shared comments on the streamer’s post. “Nahhh this can’t be real,” Jones wrote, and Chatterjee (who is happy to be replaced by a new villain) commented, “Watching this season last night…what did I do that was still so bad?”
In the episode, Kiu stopped not once, but three times, to apply artificial eye drops during his exit interview. In the scene, he lamented his rejected proposal to Nancy, who ended up suing fitness enthusiast Bartise Bowden instead.
He cry“It didn’t feel good to me, to be completely honest.”
New episodes of Love is blind drop October 26, 2022 on Netflix.
