Andrew and Tristan Tate will return to the United Kingdom to face 21 criminal charges once the procedures against them in Romania have concluded, said their lawyers.
Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said on Wednesday that it had authorized accusations, including rape, real bodily lesions and human trafficking against the brothers in 2024, before an extradition mandate was issued to bring them back from Romania.
The authorities in Romania investigate the two British in a separate case, compared to a certain number of accusations they deny.
In a statement on Thursday, the tates lawyers said that “once these procedures have been concluded in their entirety, they will return to British allegations”.
Previously, the legal representatives of the brothers said that British allegations date back to 2012 and 2015.
At the time of an arrest warrant obtained by the Bedfordshire police in March 2024, the tates declared that they “categorically rejected all the accusations” and were “very innocent men”.
A Romanian court has already judged that the brothers could be extradited to the United Kingdom after the end of any trial there, for which there is no clear time currently, and the CPS said that “domestic criminal cases in Romania should be set first”.
The CPS said that Andrew Tate, a 38 -year -old influencer and former Kickboxer, faces 10 accusations linked to three alleged victims, including rape, real bodily lesions, human trafficking and prostitution control.
Tristan Tate, 36, faces 11 accusations linked to an alleged victim, including rape, real bodily lesions and human trafficking.
The CPS accusation decision came after receiving a file from the Bedfordshire police.
Responding to allegations on behalf of the tates, their lawyers said that there had been a “large quantity of disinformation in the media concerning the allegations encountered by our customers” and that they were subject to “a media trial”.
A press release added: “Regardless of your point of view, it should be made to make the case that all those who are judged in England and in Wales have the expectation of a fair trial.”
They added that “British prosecutors refuse to give even the most basic information to allow our customers to understand the allegations they face”.
The BBC has been informed that the CPS considers that it fully complies with its role in accordance with disclosure obligations.
In recent years, Andrew, an self -proclaimed misogynist, has built a massive online presence, including more than 10 million followers on X, sharing his lifestyle of fast cars, private jets and yachts.
The couple was born in the United States but moved to Luton in the United Kingdom with their mother after their parents divorced.
Since the first arrest in Romania by the Romanian authorities in December 2022, with Andrew accused of rape and trafficking in human beings and Tristan suspected of human trafficking, the couple was largely under travel restrictions in the country.
They then faced new allegations in Romania in August 2024, including sex with a minor and people in the trafficking of people, which they all deny.
Earlier this year, they unexpected their travel ban unexpectedly and visited Florida in the United States, before returning to Romania less than a month later in March 2025.
The British authorities were criticized for not having asked for extradition for the United Kingdom when they were in Florida, after the authorities there said that they approved it, but the BBC understands that it was a question of avoiding overthrowing the disposition of the United Kingdom.
Given the complexity of the procedure in Romania, their return to the United Kingdom is unlikely to be soon.
