Andie MacDowell wore a floral bohemian dress in Cannes

Andie MacDowell is the picture of sophistication on every red carpet she attends. And the Cannes Film Festival is no different. The actress was spotted in the south of France looking summery and garden party ready in an ethereal white floral maxi dress.

MacDowell was spotted arriving at the Martinez Hotel (where all the celebrities gather during the festival) in a billowy white maxi dress with a purple, yellow, green and blue flower print, buttons and patterned hem. She wore the piece with a matching crisp white blazer and silver loafers.

She kept her accessories to a minimum, but carried a small bouquet of white roses and her signature gray hair was worn in her natural curls.

Later, MacDowell changed out of her dress and into a puff-sleeved pirate blouse and beige linen pants (and the same silver slip-ons). Her fabulously oversized sunglasses and tweed tote bag gave the whole European-inspired look an Old Hollywood vibe as she strolled the streets of Cannes.

MacDowell’s daughter, Margaret Qualley, is also in Cannes to promote her new body horror film, The substance. The film, in which Qualley stars alongside Demi Moore, received an 11-minute standing ovation at its premiere Sunday night, according to Variety.

At an event for his other star-studded film Kinds of KindnessQualley wore a maxi black dress and a gigantic wide-brimmed hat, which fans believe was a tribute to her mother. Four weddings and a funeral character. In the 1994 romantic comedy, MacDowell’s Carrie wore a white dress and a huge black hat.
