A man suspected of having killed his ex-girlfriend and his daughter in a car shooting in Compton is on the run and believed armed and dangerous, the authorities said.
The Sheriff’s Department of County Los Angles Research Donte Lamont Brown, a 41 -year -old Compton resident suspected of having killed his distant girlfriend, La’von Hall, and his 22 -year -old daughter, Ma’Laysia Martin, according to a press release.
Sheriff deputies answered a call about a shooting at the intersection of Caldwell Street and South Central Avenue around 7 p.m. Tuesday and found Hall, 45, lying on the ground with ball injuries. His daughter was discovered in the passenger seat of a car crushed nearby, also bleeding from the ball injury, according to the Sheriff department.
The deputies and staff of the Compton fire service tried to provide rescue aid, but the two victims were both declared dead on the scene.
Investigators later learned that Brown was heading for the victims’ car when he was arrested in a light on Caldwell Street and triggered several cycles of shots, hitting the mother and daughter, according to the sheriff department.
Hall came out of the driver’s side of the car and fell to the ground, fatally injured. The car continued to move forward with Martin, injured, in the passenger seat. He struck a signal pole in the southeast corner of the intersection, where Martin was found insensitive, according to the Sheriff department.
Brown fled to the south on South Central Avenue and its fate remains unknown, said sheriff officials.
The ministry said that detectives have exhausted all the tracks of Brown’s research and sought public help to locate it. It is known to frequent component and long beach areas and would be armed.
