We started defender Kentucky Week with an unhappy drama side this afternoon while the 35 CCI5 * entries introduced themselves to the ground jury, chaired by Christian Steiner (AUT) and joined by Anne-Mette Binder (Den) and Peter Gray (CAN).
Late in order came Jennie Brannigan with Tim and TwilightsGleam from Nina Gardner, who was to start her sixth 5 * competition this week. “Comic” (also affectionately known as “grandfather”) was initially sent to the detention zone to reset herself, and after Jennie presented the jury on the ground again took a long time to make a decision. Unfortunately, the decision was not to accept the 15-year-old thoroughbred hinge towards the competition.
Jennie was, of course, emotional about the situation, made a little more stressful earlier when the advertiser had a delay to let him know that his first walk, Fe Lifestyle, was accepted.
“I love this horse so much, and he already gave me so much,” Jennie told EN. “It doesn’t owe us a single thing, and really, with all my heart, if it is not entirely going, we would never want to run it. We have struggled with his feet over the years, but I am proud to be a good rider, and therefore I am more embarrassed than anything. And have always supported all of his needs to keep him happy and healthy.

Beyond that, the rest of the inspection was without any drama (well, not if you ask Dyri, who was clearly ready to show people exactly how athletic it is), and all the remaining 34 horses have been accepted and will go to a dressage from tomorrow afternoon.
You can find driving time for dressage for 4 * and 5 * here. We will be back later with the famous Golden Chinch prices of Tilly Berendt (in?), To be sure to check!
Go that.
