Amir Khan reacts to Jake Paul’s KSI fight ‘leaked’ with famous Rocky IV quote as he eyes boxing comeback

Amir Khan has called out KSI and Jake Paul after his return to boxing was “leaked” by the American YouTuber.

“King Khan” is set to become the next retired professional pugilist to take up power boxing.

The Briton hung up his gloves in 2022 after a dominant loss to Kell Brook.

But according to Paul, he is now ready to fight with content creator KSI.

Speaking to X, Paul wrote: “KSI vs Amir Khan who I’m fucking with. Good fun.”

There has been no official announcement regarding Khan’s return to the ring at the time of writing, although he has apparently confirmed that he will fight KSI next.

Channeling Rocky Balboa’s fierce rival Ivan Drago from the franchise’s iconic fourth film, Khan responded to Paul’s “leak” about X by saying, “If he dies, he dies.” So f*** Jake Paul. »

He then added, “Send the contract or go back to Disney asshole,” before insisting that “news is coming soon.”

Khan’s inevitable involvement in influencer boxing was revealed last month when YouTuber-turned-boxer Slim Albaher revealed that Misfits Boxing had put forward the former Olympic silver medalist as their next opponent.

He posted online: “I was offered Amir Khan. One of the best fighters in the UK to ever pull on the gloves.

“They’re really doing everything they can to keep me away from KSI.”

Slim was informed that the winner between him and Khan would be guaranteed a fight with KSI, although it appears those plans have since changed.

KSI has had five professional fights (4-1) since his turnaround in 2019, with the only blemish on his record coming against Tommy Fury in his last outing.

Khan is much more experienced than his compatriot with 40 professional fights under his belt (34-6) although, as was clear from his appearance against Brook, he is a shadow of his 37-year-old self.

The former unified welterweight champion failed a drugs test – taken on the night of the grudge match for the banned substance ostarine – and was handed a two-year ban by UK-Anti Doping (UKAD).

“Professional boxer and Olympic medalist Amir Khan has been banned from all sport for two years following Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRV) for the presence and use of a banned substance,” a UKAD statement said.

“On February 19, 2022, UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) collected an in-competition urine sample from Mr Khan following his fight against Kell Brook at Manchester Arena.

“Mr. Khan’s sample returned an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) for ostarine.”

Khan has accepted the accusations, but maintains he did not intentionally digest the banned substance.
