The new American Airlines planes sporting its brand new business class concept are planned for takeoff next month.
Earlier this week, the carrier based in Fort Worth took delivery of two new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners which will launch its new generation flagship consequences – as well as a global reinvented aesthetic on board.
The first of the new American Dreamliners will come into service on June 5, with a short national national trip followed by an inaugural international service at the O’Hare international airport in Chicago at Heathrow Airport in London (LHR).
Then, in the next four to five months, four additional long-term routes will obtain the new follow-up concept, including the Philadelphia International Airport Service (PHL) in Heathrow and Zurich, and the American non-stop road to Brisbane, Australia, from this fall.

Manufacturing years
These beginnings mark a major step for the American premium cabin, almost three years after the airline was presented for the first time to renderings of the new trade seats.
For the first time, American will be able to boast of a real concept of suite with the sliding privacy doors which have become a very popular functionality on other global airlines, including certain competing American products – such as Delta One Suites of Delta Air Lines and the more recent Menthe product of JetBlue.
The new American flagship suites (and the whole cabin, really) will also look significantly different from that of the cabins aboard all the American planes flying today.
As indicated in the photos, the carrier was released on Friday, the new seats of coal and gray colors are equipped with brown leather supports – aesthetics that will complete the bells and whistles of the new products, such as a new chair seat option.

There will also be more Of these business class seats on the new American Dreamliners – 51 of them, in all, compared to the 30 found on its current 787-9. You will find a similar overall color palette in the Premium Economy cabin, where Americans will also increase its number of seats with 30 spacious tilting armchairs with winged headrests, a cocktail tray, an elegant personal loading holder and USB-C ports.

Now, we will obviously not be able to fully give you a meaning on the way in which the cabin and the new seats accumulate against competing products until we had the chance to try it for ourselves.
But, this should certainly be a major boost in the hopes of Americans both to grow and improve its premium offers.
“Each aspect of our new 787-9 is designed to feel more in kind,” the director of American customers, Heather Garboden said on Friday. “Whether it is flying for business or pleasure, having the opportunity to explore other parts of the world should be an exciting and memorable experience that starts when you reserve your flight.”
What flights will have the American Airlines flagship consequences?
The inaugural flight for the new American flagship suites will technically be an inner flight short-Courrier on June 5, from Chicago to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). It is AA Flight 2012, scheduled to leave Ord at 9:12 a.m. and arrive in Lax at 11:33 a.m., at all local time.
This afternoon. The plane will return to O’Hare before its first long-haul itinerary: DE COD in Heathrow, operating as AA Flight 98.
As indicated in the American booking chains, he left Chicago at 10:30 p.m. and lands in London the next day at 12:15 p.m. at all local time.
Economic redemptions start at 29,000 AAD miles, with a premium saving at 49,000. When writing these lines, you will have to exchange 400,000 miles to hang a business class seat.
However, a huge Please note here: American says that the seats on the new plane (with its new arrangement) are technically put up for sale on Monday. Currently, the seats map of this flight does not reflect the more recent and higher -end cabin configuration, including a 70% increase in business class capacity on the Dreamliner currently crayed in the route.
We will therefore have to see what is happening at these buyout rates in the coming days.
Other roads to come soon
During 2025, American will welcome additional Dreamliners in its fleet and launch the plane on longer roads, in particular:
- Phl -lhr – Starts on August 6
- PHL at Zurich Airport (ZHR) – starts on September 3
- Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) at Brisbane Airport (BNE) in Australia – begins on October 26
In all, the carrier plans to receive a total of 30 of these 787-9 premium heavy by 2029.
And these Dreamliners are not the only jets who will see the new flagship concept.
American plans to start the consequences on his Airbus A321xlrs Transatlantique – although it plans to start these jets (each time it receives them) on premium transcontinental roads currently operated by its four A321T cabins.
The carrier also plans to modernize its Boeing 777-300ers, abandoning the first flagship cabin in favor of a higher number of linked seats.

Reserve the new American suites with miles of points
Although the exchange of AAD ALLOW Miles is the most conventional way to mark a reward seat on American, there are a variety of partners that you can rather choose to book.
We suggest that you check the partners’ reward space on the loyalty programs for America’s transporters of Oneworld Alliance, from the Alaska airline mileage plan to Cathay Pacific Asia Miles and the assortment of international airlines that use Avios for a reward currency – from British Airways to Iberia, Aer Lingus and Finnair.
TPG staff have been used in recent times of reserved partners reserved via Alaska lately, thanks to its table of partner awards which can introduce good deals compared to what you will find in the AAD program at a more dynamic price.
At least for the moment, you can transfer membership rewards to the American Express to Hawaiianmiles to a 1: 1 report, then pass these miles to Alaska – but, as I wrote last week, this arrangement may not be there for too long.
