THE American Ninja Warrior The alumnus, who won season 11 of the series in 2019, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for receiving child pornography and inciting travel for illicit sex, said the US Attorney. Philippe R. Sellinger confirmed in a press release.
In June 2023, according to the release, Dreschel pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography and one count of willfully persuading, inducing, enticing and coercing a minor to travel interstate to engage in sexual activity.
The statement included, citing case documents and statements made in court, details of the 35-year-old’s arrest in 2020, noting that law enforcement officers “searched one of the phones from Drechsel and found images of child sexual abuse, including photos and videos of the victim when the victim was 14 and 15 years old.
According to Sellinger, Dreschel admitted to meeting the victim in 2014 through the parkour community and to “texting the victim and discussing plans to have sex with her.” The minor then traveled, according to the report, across state lines in July 2015 so that “Drechsel could have sexual relations with the victim.”
